Not born from a strategic plan — born from a wound, a prayer, and a divine vision.
This ministry was not born out of a strategic plan. It was born out of a wound, a prayer, and a divine vision. It all started with a deep frustration: seeing our mothers and sisters living under the yoke of sin, outside the covenant with God, and below their divine potential.
Many still did not know the plans God had for their lives, their true identity in Christ, the spiritual riches that belonged to them in the Kingdom. The passionate desire to see women take their place in the Kingdom of God, develop the nature of Christ, and fully embrace His plan for their lives — this desire led us to seek His face with perseverance.
For several months, we sighed in prayer.
Waited. Listened.
It was during this prayer time that God confirmed the ministry's identity supernaturally. The president, Marie-Thérèse Fifa, received an open vision in which she saw the letters of the alphabet appear — shining, crystal-like letters. As they appeared, they evaporated simultaneously, disappearing one after the other.
Then, finally: only three letters remained visible.
Intertwined · Shining · Unbreakable
Understanding that it was a divine revelation, Marie-Thérèse Fifa immediately shared this vision with Kibamba Nimon, the vice-president, who was praying with her that day. Both received this vision as a confirmation of the mandate entrusted by the Lord.
Thus was born the name: Lionesses United in Christ.
"And the Lord added daily to the church those who were being saved." — Acts 2:47
Since the founding of LUC, the ministry has grown — by the power of the Holy Spirit — to reach women in several African countries and within the African diaspora. What started in prayer continues in prayer. What was confirmed by a vision continues to be carried by living faith.
Praise and glory to Lord Jesus Christ.
Awaken the sleeping lioness in every woman so that she may rise strategically and fight in unison with other women for the establishment of the Kingdom of God in her environment: family, business, communities, nations…
To reach as many women as possible with the message of the Gospel and make them disciples of Christ.
(Luke 4:18; Matthew 28:18–20)
The same Spirit that was in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, also dwells in every woman who confesses Him as Lord and Savior. It is He who makes them lionesses — and that is what they truly are.
Upon closer observation of lionesses, one of their defining characteristics is their strong sense of unity and community. The will of the Lord, our God and Father, is for us to succeed in His presence; for this, we must be united — for in unity there is power unleashed.
(Psalm 133; Ecclesiastes 4:12)
The only one who can truly maintain this perfect unity is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ himself. He alone can awaken us and give us the power we need to rise up like lionesses.
(Psalm 25:12; Ephesians 1:3)
